Although Dana White's domestic abuse was clear on film, many news outlets chose to avoid critical coverage to preserve their business relationships with him.

The UFC has faced criticism in the past for its handling of domestic violence cases involving their fighters, including arrests of Jon Jones, Anthony Johnson, Abel Trujillo, Thiago Silva, and others. Former UFC champion and Hall of Fame member Chuck Liddell, a close friend of Dana White's, was arrested for domestic violence in 2021.
